CBX3P4 (CBX3 pseudogene 4) is a non-functional genomic sequence classified as a pseudogene, derived from the duplication of the CBX3 gene. Pseudogenes like CBX3P4 do not produce functional protein products and are not targets for drug therapy, biomarker use, or safety evaluation. Structured knowledge exists for CBX3, which is a member of the chromobox protein family involved in chromatin binding and transcriptional regulation. However, CBX3P4 does not share the biological functions, therapeutic relevance, or disease roles of active CBX3. CBX3P4 should not be confused with functional CBX3 (chromobox protein homolog 3, also known as HP1γ), which has significant biological and disease relevance in cancer, cell cycle regulation, and DNA damage response. CBX3P4 is not a clinically actionable or therapeutically relevant molecular target. It has no established aliases beyond CBX3P4 and CBX3 pseudogene 4 and lacks disease roles, molecular interactions, or safety concerns in biomedical contexts.
