Target intelligence / Profile preview
CBX3 pseudogene 8 (CBX3P8) is a pseudogene related to the CBX3 gene, containing non-functional, mutated, or otherwise non-coding DNA sequences similar to the parental CBX3 gene (also known as Chromobox protein homolog 3 or heterochromatin protein 1 gamma). Pseudogenes like CBX3P8 do not encode active or functional proteins and usually have no direct biological or therapeutic relevance. CBX3P8 is not involved in canonical CBX3/HP1-gamma activities related to chromatin modification, gene silencing, or other biological processes and is not considered a target for drugs or therapies.
