CCR3 (C-C chemokine receptor type 3) is a G protein-coupled receptor highly expressed on eosinophils and is the principal receptor mediating eosinophil chemotaxis in response to eotaxin (CCL11) and related chemokines. CCR3 signaling is central to the recruitment of eosinophils to sites of allergic inflammation, with key roles in asthma, atopic dermatitis, and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Inhibition of CCR3 or its canonical chemokine ligands prevents eosinophil migration and is under investigation as a therapeutic strategy in eosinophil-driven diseases[2][3][4][7][12].
