Overview
CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4), also known as CD194, is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) primarily involved in immune cell trafficking. It binds to chemokines CCL17 and CCL22, influencing inflammatory responses and tumor microenvironments. CCR4 expression is found on various immune cells, including Th2 cells and regulatory T cells. It is implicated in autoimmune diseases, allergic conditions, cancer metastasis, and neuropathic pain. Mogamulizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CCR4, is used in CTCL treatment.
