Target intelligence / Profile preview
CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 3 (CNOT3) is a core component of the CCR4-NOT complex, a highly conserved multiprotein complex in eukaryotes. It plays a central role in regulating gene expression at multiple levels, including transcriptional regulation, mRNA deadenylation and decay, translational repression, and maintenance of stem cell populations. CNOT3 functions include repression of transcription, regulation of mRNA degradation and miRNA-mediated repression, translational repression during initiation phases, and general regulation of gene expression at both nuclear and cytoplasmic levels. It may also be involved in metabolic regulation and mitotic progression.
Not applicable, CNOT3 is a protein target, not a drug.
