Target intelligence / Profile preview
CD19, also known as B-lymphocyte antigen CD19, is a transmembrane glycoprotein and a key biomarker for B cell lineage. It is expressed throughout most stages of B cell development and functions as a coreceptor with the B-cell receptor complex (BCR), primarily functioning to lower the threshold for activation of the BCR signaling pathway. It is a therapeutic target for monoclonal antibodies and CAR-T therapies in hematologic malignancies.
Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) for monoclonal antibodies; T-cell mediated cytotoxicity for CAR-T therapies targeting CD19.
