Overview
CD200 receptor 1 (CD200R1) is a cell surface transmembrane glycoprotein that acts as an inhibitory receptor on myeloid lineage cells and some T-cell subsets. Upon binding to its ligand CD200, it downregulates pro-inflammatory signaling, including the inhibition of TNF-alpha, interferons, and iNOS. Dysregulation of this pathway is implicated in inflammatory diseases, and some pathogens exploit it to suppress host immune defenses.
