CD27 antigen (CD27)

Target
CD27
Molecular classification
Type I transmembrane glycoprotein, Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, Receptor
01

Overview

CD27 antigen is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFRSF7). It functions as a costimulatory immune-checkpoint receptor, primarily expressed on T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and B cells. CD27 plays an essential role in regulating immune responses, particularly in T cell activation, survival, and memory formation. Its ligand is CD70. CD27 is under investigation as an immunotherapy target and soluble forms may serve as biomarkers.
