CD276 (B7-H3) is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the B7 family of immune proteins and the immunoglobulin superfamily. It functions as an immune checkpoint molecule with dual immunoregulatory roles, acting as both a costimulatory and coinhibitory signal for T cells. B7-H3 is highly overexpressed in a wide range of human solid cancers, making it an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy. Therapeutic approaches include monoclonal antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) that target B7-H3 expressing tumor cells.
Monoclonal antibodies: Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), direct inhibition of B7-H3 function. Antibody-drug conjugates: Delivery of cytotoxic payload to B7-H3 expressing cells.
