CD300H is a putative activating immunoglobulin-like cell surface receptor encoded by the *CD300H* gene located within the CD300 cluster on chromosome 17[2][5][6]. CD300H contains a short cytoplasmic tail and relies on adaptor proteins DAP12 and DAP10 for intracellular signaling after extracellular engagement[2]. It is expressed primarily on CD16(+) monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells[2], and antibody-mediated ligation induces the production of neutrophil chemoattractants, suggesting a role in innate immunity and the regulation of inflammatory processes[2][6]. The function of CD300H may be absent in certain individuals due to a common loss-of-function splice site SNP (rs905709), with "negative" expression prevalent in some human populations[2]. CD300H is part of the broader CD300 family, which is involved in lipid sensing, immune regulation, phagocytosis, and cytokine signaling, but specific endogenous ligands and detailed functions of CD300H remain unknown[2][3][5][6]. No therapeutics are currently reported that specifically modulate CD300H signaling.
