CD300c molecule (CD300C)

Target
CD300C
Molecular classification
Receptor, Immunoglobulin superfamily protein, Type I transmembrane protein
01

Overview

CD300c molecule is an activating member of the CD300 family of immunoglobulin-like type I transmembrane receptors predominantly expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and subsets of T and B lymphocytes. Like related CD300 family molecules, CD300C participates in the modulation of immune responses by recognizing phospholipids (such as those exposed on dead or apoptotic cells) and transmitting signals that influence leukocyte activation, cytokine release, and other immune functions. CD300C may have roles in inflammatory, infectious, and allergic diseases, and represents a potential target for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in immune-mediated conditions.
