Target intelligence / Profile preview
CD46 molecule pseudogene 1 (CD46P1) is a pseudogene that shares high sequence similarity with the protein-coding CD46 gene, which encodes membrane cofactor protein, a complement regulatory factor. Unlike CD46, CD46P1 does not produce a functional protein and is not implicated in immune regulation, disease, or therapeutic targeting. Pseudogenes such as CD46P1 are often nonfunctional gene segments resulting from duplication or retrotransposition events and typically do not have independent biological function.
