Overview
CD79b, also known as Ig-beta, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a critical component of the B-cell antigen receptor (BCR) complex. It mediates signal transduction upon antigen binding to surface immunoglobulin on B cells. It is a therapeutic target for lymphoma.
