CD80 antigen (CD80)

CD80 is a membrane-bound glycoprotein expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) that plays a crucial role in T-cell activation and immune regulation. It interacts with CD28 to provide costimulatory signals for T-cell activation and with CTLA-4 to deliver inhibitory signals, thus modulating the balance between immune stimulation and tolerance. Recent studies show cis-interactions between PD-L1 and CD80 modulate both PD-L1/PD-1 signaling and CTLA-4 binding dynamics.
