CKS1BP4 itself does not appear to produce protein, and no biological function or disease association has been firmly established for this locus. As with other processed pseudogenes, there is theoretical potential for regulatory function at the RNA level (such as miRNA sponging), but such roles have not been demonstrated for CKS1BP4 specifically[4][10].
