Overview

CDC37L1 divergent transcript (CDC37L1-DT), also called CDC37L1-AS1, is an annotated long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that overlaps or is adjacent (head-to-head orientation) to the CDC37L1 gene. The primary function of this antisense RNA is not characterized in the literature. Unlike the protein-coding gene CDC37L1—which serves as a co-chaperone involved in protein folding via interactions with HSP90 and acts as a potential tumor suppressor—there is currently no evidence that CDC37L1-DT is functionally relevant as a molecular target, nor is it associated with therapeutic intervention or clinical biomarker applications[3][1]. Consequently, CDC37L1-DT is not recognized as a primary drug target in current biomedical or therapeutic research. If structured entity recognition or drug targeting is intended, the main focus should be CDC37L1 protein, not its antisense lncRNA transcript.

Mechanism of action

None (CDC37L1-DT is not pharmacologically targeted; no mechanism of action has been described)

03

Biological functions

Other (Possible regulatory RNA function; direct biological role is not well characterized)No evidence for classic functions like signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, or apoptosis as with the CDC37L1 protein itself
04

Disease associations

Other (No directly documented disease roles)Possible indirect association, since CDC37L1 gene expression has tumor suppressive roles in gastric and liver cancer, but for the lncRNA specifically, roles remain undefined
05

Safety considerations

None documented (not a target or therapeutic agent)
06

Interacting drugs

None known (no documented drugs interact with CDC37L1-DT or CDC37L1-AS1)
07

Biomarkers

None currently established (no clinical biomarker role for CDC37L1-DT)
