Disruption of CDC42SE1 function has been linked to altered cell migration, reduced angiogenesis, and defective cardiac development, suggesting roles in both physiological and pathological processes such as vascular biology and cancer[1]. There are no current reports of CDC42SE1-targeting drugs, nor is CDC42SE1 typically classified as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter; it is best described as a small effector/scaffold protein within the CDC42 signaling pathway[1][4][3].
