CDV3 pseudogene 1 (CDV3P1) is annotated as a pseudogene in the human genome, meaning it is a non-functional duplicate of the CDV3 gene. Unlike the functional CDV3, which encodes a protein and is considered a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma, CDV3P1 does not produce a functional protein and currently lacks any evidence for therapeutic targeting or direct biological role.
