CEA cell adhesion molecule pseudogene 11 (CEACAMP11) is one of the eleven pseudogenes within the cluster of the CEA cell adhesion molecule family located on the long arm of chromosome 19[1][5]. Pseudogenes are DNA sequences similar to normal genes, but which have lost their protein-coding ability through mutation and are not actively transcribed or translated. There are no known biological functions, disease associations, or interactions with drugs reported for CEACAMP11. It does not serve as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other canonical drug target, and is generally not considered relevant in therapeutic development[1][5]. The functional CEA-related cell adhesion molecule genes, such as CEACAM1 (carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1), are important in cell adhesion, immunity, and cancer biology[1][3]. Pseudogenes like CEACAMP11 do not share these functions and are typically not involved in cellular signaling or disease mechanisms[5].
