Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cell death stimulants are agents or molecules that promote the process of cell death, primarily through regulated mechanisms such as apoptosis, but also via other forms like necroptosis, pyroptosis, and ferroptosis. These stimulants can target specific molecular pathways or receptors to initiate or amplify the cellular machinery responsible for dismantling and removing cells. They are crucial in maintaining tissue homeostasis by eliminating damaged, infected, or unwanted cells and play a significant role in development, immune response regulation, and prevention of diseases such as cancer.
Promote cell death through activation of apoptosis (intrinsic & extrinsic pathways), necroptosis, pyroptosis, and ferroptosis.
