Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cell division cycle associated 1 protein (CDCA1), also known as NUF2, is a key component of the NDC80 kinetochore complex. This protein plays an essential role in chromosome segregation during mitosis by stabilizing microtubule attachment at kinetochores. CDCA1 is overexpressed in various cancers, making it a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target. Its restricted normal tissue distribution but high tumor specificity makes it a promising candidate for targeted anti-cancer therapies.
