Overview

Cell division cycle associated 4 pseudogene 4 (CDCA4P4) is a human pseudogene, which is a nonfunctional segment of DNA that resembles a functional gene but typically cannot produce a functional protein product[1][2][3][4]. Pseudogenes like CDCA4P4 may be transcribed into RNA at low levels, but they generally do not have recognized roles in therapeutic targeting, biological function, or disease association[3]. There is currently no evidence or indication that CDCA4P4 acts as a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor; its main molecular classification is as a pseudogene[2][3]. As a result of being a pseudogene, it has no known clinical, pharmacological, or biomarker relevance. Any attempt to target or interpret CDCA4P4 as a functional molecule should be considered incorrect unless future studies reveal an unexpected function.
