Centrosomal protein 15 (CEP15)

Target
CEP15
Molecular classification
Other (centrosomal protein, structural/ciliary protein)

Overview

Centrosomal protein 15 (CEP15) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a putative component of the centrosome, which is involved in organizing microtubules and potentially in ciliary assembly or function. It is predicted to localize to the cilium and is associated with ciliopathies such as Bardet-Biedl syndrome 4 and Seckel syndrome. There is no current evidence that this protein is a direct therapeutic target, nor are there drugs, biomarkers, or established safety concerns directly linked to its modulation[1][7][9].
