Target intelligence / Profile preview
Centrosomal protein 57 like 1 pseudogene 1 (CEP57L1P1) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome, annotated with aliases including C10orf37 and C6orf182P[6][7]. It is related by sequence homology to the protein-coding gene "centrosomal protein 57" (CEP57), which is critical for centrosome function, microtubular stabilization, and cell division[3][5]. However, as a **pseudogene**, CEP57L1P1 does not encode a functional protein and is not known to play an active biological or pathological role. Pseudogenes may have regulatory effects at the RNA level, such as acting as competing endogenous RNAs or influencing the expression of their parent gene in rare cases[4][9], but there are currently no reported biological functions, disease associations, or drug interactions for CEP57L1P1 itself.
