Target intelligence / Profile preview
**CEP19 pseudogene 1 (CEP19P1)** is a non-coding pseudogene related to the functional protein-coding gene CEP19 (Centrosomal protein 19). Unlike the functional gene, CEP19P1 does not encode a protein and has no known biological, clinical, or therapeutic role. Pseudogenes such as CEP19P1 are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically non-functional: they may be untranscribed, untranslated, or encode truncated, non-functional products[4][8]. There is currently no evidence that CEP19P1 participates in biological processes, has disease relevance, or serves as a therapeutic target.
