CEP250 antisense RNA 1 (CEP250-AS1)

Target
CEP250-AS1
Molecular classification
Other (long non-coding RNA)

Overview

CEP250 antisense RNA 1 (CEP250-AS1) is an antisense long non-coding RNA corresponding to the CEP250 gene locus. As of now, there is no available evidence to suggest that CEP250-AS1 functions as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any of the canonical drug target types. Its function, biological roles, disease associations, and clinical significance have not been characterized in the scientific literature, and no pharmacological agents are known to interact with it[4][8]. The related gene, CEP250, encodes the centrosomal protein C-Nap1, but CEP250-AS1 itself is not a protein-coding gene and is not established as a therapeutic or disease-relevant target.
