CEP63 antisense RNA 1 (CEP63-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located antisense to the CEP63 locus. It does not encode a protein. Emerging studies suggest that some antisense lncRNAs can regulate the expression of their sense (protein-coding) gene counterpart, potentially through transcriptional interference, chromatin remodeling, or RNA-RNA interactions. While the precise biological function and clinical significance of CEP63-AS1 remain undetermined, some recent research implicates certain antisense lncRNAs in cancer, including possible roles in oncogenesis or as prognostic biomarkers. However, there are no validated drug interactions, established disease biomarkers, or recognized safety concerns linked to CEP63-AS1 at this time.
