Overview

CFAP65 antisense RNA 1 (CFAP65-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene located antisense to the protein-coding CFAP65 gene. While numerous lncRNAs play regulatory roles in gene expression and disease, there is currently no peer-reviewed evidence linking CFAP65-AS1 to any established molecular function, pathological process, or therapeutic application. It is not classified as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any established druggable target. There are no known drugs that target or interact with CFAP65-AS1, and its role in human biology remains to be elucidated. Note: There are other antisense lncRNAs (such as AFAP1-AS1) that have been implicated in cancer biology, but those are unrelated to CFAP65-AS1 and should not be confused with this target[2][4]. Information associating CFAP65-AS1 with any therapeutic or diagnostic role is lacking in current high-quality scientific sources as of 2025.
