Chaperonin containing TCP1, subunit 6 (zeta) pseudogene 4 (CCT6P4) is annotated as a pseudogene, meaning it is a segment of DNA that resembles a gene but is generally non-functional and not translated into a functional protein. It is related in sequence to the gene encoding CCT6 subunits, which are part of the chaperonin containing TCP1 (also called TRiC/CCT complex), a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding. Notes: - CCT6P4 is sometimes confused with CCT6A or CCT6B, which are genuine protein-coding genes (see [7]), but CCT6P4 itself is a pseudogene and does not encode a functional protein. - The "is_incorrect" field is true, as this is not a bona fide druggable target and entering it as a drug target is an error.
