Overview

CHMP4BP1 is a non-coding pseudogene related to the CHMP4B gene, which encodes a component of the ESCRT-III complex, important in endosomal sorting and multivesicular body formation. Pseudogenes like CHMP4BP1 generally do not encode functional proteins but may contribute to genetic and regulatory complexity.
