Checkpoint kinase 2 pseudogene 4 (CHEK2P4) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene located within the human genome, sharing sequence homology to the active CHEK2 gene but not expressed as a functional protein. Unlike CHEK2, which encodes a serine/threonine kinase critical for DNA damage response and cell cycle control, CHEK2P4 does not participate in any known biological pathways, is not a therapeutic target, and is neither implicated in disease nor targeted by drugs. CHEK2P4 is one of several non-functional duplications derived from the CHEK2 gene, with no documented roles in human health or disease
