Target intelligence / Profile preview
Chondroprogenitor cells are stem/progenitor cells with the capacity for chondrogenic differentiation, used therapeutically to repair or regenerate damaged cartilage tissue. They are relatively immature precursors committed to the chondrogenic lineage and can be derived from various tissues like articular cartilage, synovium, fat pad, periosteum, and tendon. Unlike mature chondrocytes, they are less prone to hypertrophy after implantation. Clinical applications include cartilage defect repair and TMJ disorders.
Cellular therapy promoting cartilage regeneration.
