Target intelligence / Profile preview
Chromobox 5 pseudogene 1 (CBX5P1) is a human pseudogene corresponding to the functional CBX5 (Chromobox 5, HP1α) gene. CBX5P1 is located on chromosome 3 and does not encode a functional protein; therefore, it is not involved directly in gene regulation, disease, drug response, or therapeutic targeting. Information about function, disease, and targeting should reference the actual CBX5/HP1α protein, which is a highly conserved chromatin-binding protein involved in gene silencing and epigenetic regulation.
None (not a target for drugs)
