**Chromodomain Y-linked 13 pseudogene** (CDY13P) is a non-functional segment of DNA found on the human Y chromosome, classified as a pseudogene because it does not encode a functional protein[3]. Chromodomain Y gene family members are primarily expressed in the testis and associated with male-specific functions such as spermatogenesis and fertility[5][1], but CDY13P itself is not functionally expressed and is not recognized as a therapeutic target. Pseudogenes may sometimes act as regulators of gene expression by serving as RNA decoys for microRNAs[4], but there is no evidence supporting such a role for CDY13P. The biology of functional chromodomain Y genes does not extend to this pseudogene, and there are no known drug interactions or disease associations with CDY13P. The presence of this pseudogene reflects evolutionary processes and is not linked to any safety concerns or biomarker applications.
