Overview

CFAP99 (Cilia and flagella associated protein 99) is a protein encoded by the CFAP99 gene, localized primarily within motile cilia[4]. It is predicted to play a role in the structure or function of motile cilia and flagella, organelles responsible for movement and fluid propulsion in various eukaryotic cells[4][3]. The protein appears to be important for the normal assembly or stability of ciliary structures but is not known to be directly associated with any diseases, nor is it an established therapeutic target. There is currently no evidence linking CFAP99 to specific clinical biomarkers, drug interactions, or significant safety concerns[4][3][5].
