Ciliary microtubule inner protein 2A is a structural protein present within the ciliary basal body and flagellum axoneme, where it contributes to the formation and function of dynein-decorated microtubules, particularly in flagellated sperm motility[1][4][5][6][8]. While annotated in human genome and protein resources and in mouse studies for sperm function[9], CIMIP2A is not described as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or biomarker, nor is it associated with drug interactions or disease roles in current public biomedical databases.
