CINC-1 (CXCL1) is a small chemokine peptide functioning as a potent neutrophil chemoattractant and an acute-phase protein, particularly in the context of tissue injury and inflammation. Syndecan-1 is a transmembrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan that plays multiple roles in cell adhesion, migration, matrix remodeling, and acts as a coreceptor for growth factors and chemokines. Binding between chemokines (such as CINC-1/CXCL1) and Syndecan-1 occurs via the heparan sulfate chains on Syndecan-1 and modulates cell signaling, leukocyte recruitment, and tissue responses to injury. Altered expression and modification of Syndecan-1 are implicated in cancer progression, tissue remodeling, and inflammatory diseases
