Circulating Tumor-Reactive Lymphocyte (cTRL)

Target
cTRL
Molecular classification
T lymphocyte, Cytotoxic T cell, CD8+ T cell
01

Overview

Circulating tumor-reactive lymphocytes (cTRLs) are a subset of T lymphocytes found in the peripheral blood that specifically recognize and respond to tumor antigens. cTRLs play a critical role in anti-tumor immunity by recognizing and attacking cancer cells presenting specific antigens. They exhibit robust activity against autologous tumors, demonstrated by increased interferon-gamma (IFNγ) production upon exposure to tumor cells and express markers associated with memory T cell phenotypes (e.g., CD27, CD28).
