CKMT2 antisense RNA 1 (CKMT2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene that acts in an antisense fashion and is involved in transcriptional regulation. Located on chromosome 5, this lncRNA is classified as an antisense RNA due to its overlap with the CKMT2 protein-coding gene locus. CKMT2-AS1 is expressed in multiple transcript variants and is associated with cancer, particularly colorectal cancer, through its regulatory roles.
