Target intelligence / Profile preview
The CD3 complex is a multi-subunit protein complex and a critical T cell co-receptor, essential for T cell activation and signal transduction upon antigen recognition. It consists of CD3γ, CD3δ, two copies of CD3ε, and a CD3ζζ homodimer, forming the TCR–CD3 signaling unit. Targeting CD3 can modulate immune responses, with anti-CD3 antibodies used therapeutically to suppress unwanted immune activity.
Modulation of T cell activation through binding to the CD3 complex, leading to T cell depletion or functional inactivation.
