The Cluster of Differentiation 3 epsilon chain (CD3ε) is a critical component of the T cell receptor (TCR)-CD3 complex, essential for T cell development, activation, and immune signaling. It plays key roles in complex assembly, signal transduction via ITAM phosphorylation, and is a definitive marker for T cells. Defects can cause severe immunodeficiency, and it is a therapeutic target for anti-CD3 antibodies.
