Overview

CD86 (Cluster of Differentiation 86), also known as B7-2, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and plays a crucial role in the regulation of T cell activation and immune response modulation by interacting with CD28 (stimulatory) and CTLA4/CD152 (inhibitory) receptors on T lymphocytes.

Mechanism of action
