Cluster of Differentiation 96 (CD96)

Target
CD96
Molecular classification
Immunoglobulin superfamily, Type I transmembrane glycoprotein, Receptor
01

Overview

CD96, also known as Tactile, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Primarily expressed on NK and T cells, it mediates adhesive interactions with target cells via CD155/PVR. Functioning as an immune checkpoint, CD96 blockade has shown promise in enhancing anti-tumor immunity, particularly when combined with other checkpoint inhibitors.
