Target intelligence / Profile preview
CNTN4 antisense RNA 1 (CNTN4-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed in the antisense orientation relative to the coding gene CNTN4 (contactin 4)[3]. As a non-coding transcript, CNTN4-AS1 is not a protein, enzyme, receptor, or otherwise conventional therapeutic target. Limited public data are available on its function, disease association, or role as a biomarker. By convention, antisense RNAs like CNTN4-AS1 often regulate the expression of their sense gene (in this case, CNTN4), but experimentally validated roles—especially in human disease—are not yet established for CNTN4-AS1.
