Target intelligence / Profile preview
Coagulation factor IXa is the activated form of coagulation factor IX, a vitamin K-dependent serine protease essential for blood clotting. It catalyzes the activation of factor X to Xa, a critical step in thrombin generation and fibrin clot formation. Deficiency leads to hemophilia B, treatable with Factor IX replacement therapy.
Replacement therapy: Provides functional Factor IXa to facilitate blood clotting.
