Coiled-coil domain containing 34 pseudogene 1 (CCDC34P1)

CCDC34P1 (coiled-coil domain containing 34 pseudogene 1) is a pseudogene in the human genome[1][4]. Pseudogenes are non-protein-coding genomic DNA sequences that resemble functional genes but typically lack the ability to encode proteins[3]. They may arise by gene duplication or retrotransposition and often accumulate mutations that disable their coding function. While many pseudogenes are non-functional, some are transcribed and can participate in regulatory networks, such as acting as competing endogenous RNAs or microRNA decoys; however, there is no evidence that CCDC34P1 has any such biological roles or disease relevance.
