Target intelligence / Profile preview
Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 107 is a membrane protein with a central coiled-coil domain, encoded by the CCDC107 gene (HGNC:28465) on human chromosome 9. Several transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing. Its biological function is incompletely characterized but is implicated through transcriptomic and expression studies in cancer, developmental disorders, and as a component of immune and apoptotic pathways. It has served as a biomarker for distinguishing hepatocellular carcinoma and is suggested to be involved as a candidate gene in vascular complications of diabetes. No direct drug interactions, mechanisms of action, or therapeutic applications have been reported for CCDC107.
None established for drugs; CCDC107 has not been characterized as a drug target, and no mechanisms of action are defined
