Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 166 (CCDC166)

Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 166 (CCDC166) is a protein encoded by the human CCDC166 gene. It belongs to the "coiled-coil domain-containing" family, which comprises a large and diverse group of proteins implicated in various cellular processes, mainly through protein-protein interactions facilitated by their coiled-coil structure. Despite its identification, there is extremely limited published data on the molecular function, biological role, disease associations, or therapeutic targeting of CCDC166 specifically[1][2].
