Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 170 (CCDC170) is a protein-coding gene that plays a role in the organization and stabilization of Golgi-associated microtubules. Although the function of CCDC170 is not fully delineated, it is implicated in microtubule cytoskeleton organization and is localized to the Golgi apparatus, cell junctions, and ciliary basal body[1][3][6]. Genome-wide association studies have linked the region around this gene to breast cancer risk and bone mineral density, but no direct pathogenic role for CCDC170 is confirmed[1][4]. This protein is not currently considered a direct therapeutic target, nor are there any interacting drugs, mechanisms of action, or biomarker or safety concern data available.
