Target intelligence / Profile preview
Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 70 (CCDC70) is a human protein encoded by the CCDC70 gene and belongs to a family of proteins defined by coiled-coil domains, which typically mediate protein-protein interactions[5][7][10]. It is a protein-coding gene, but unlike related proteins such as CCDC170, there is no evidence it functions as an enzyme, transporter, receptor, or ion channel, nor is it a recognized therapeutic or disease biomarker. Its function is currently uncharacterized beyond bioinformatic predictions and basic cellular localization studies; it may play a role in processes like vesicle transport between endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi, but there is no experimental consensus regarding its biological or clinical importance[6][5][7]. There are no known drugs or small molecules that target CCDC70, nor any safety concerns or specific disease associations beyond genome-level data with uncertain relevance.
Not applicable (no known interacting drugs)
